12:27 PM : Southside Elementary remains on a SHELTER IN PLACE. 11:34 AM: Southside Elementary is currently on SHELTER IN PLACE due to a gas leak a few blocks from the school. All students and staff are secure, and we are following our Standard Response Protocol to ensure everyone's safety. What You Need to Know: SHELTER: All students and staff are in their designated safe areas. SHELTER is called when specific protective actions are needed based on a threat or hazard inside or outside of the school.
