It is not just "an eclipse", this will be "THE ECLIPSE" for Texas. Cleveland ISD has decided to close for Monday, April 8th to allow students and staff time to be home with family & friends to experience this once in a lifetime learning opportunity event to make memories, take pictures, make videos together. The next eclipse is not until 2044 and it will be nowhere near Texas. Please remember to follow the recommended safety protocols for properly viewing the solar eclipse.
